Why can’t I make a reservation?
If you have attempted to make a reservation online and it will not go through, it is possible that we may have to manually set your reservation.

Can you store my bags while I am camping?
Sure! We have FREE secured luggage storage. No charge to use it while staying with us; and $2.00 per day / per bag when not staying with us.
Do you have quiet hours?
Yes! A good nights rest is very important to our guests in order to be rested and explore the island by day, so we enforce quiet hours after 10:00 PM.
My flight leaves Kauai later in the day. Can I stay at the hostel while I wait for my flight?
Sure! Hang out around the Beach House or relax by the ocean before heading off on your next adventure!
How late can I check in?
You may check-in from 1:00 PM until 10:00 PM daily.
You may arrive as early as 8AM, check-in, store your bags, and use the facilities.
After 10:00 PM you may still check-in but you must contact us in advance at (808) 652-8164 to let us know you will be arriving late. After 10:00 PM we do charge a late check-in fee, as our helper is staying up late to allow you to check-in.
Our late check-in fee is as follows:
Check-in 10:00PM – 11:00 PM – $10 Late Check-in Fee per reservation (CASH ONLY)
Check-in 11:00 PM – 12:00 (Midnight) – $15 Late Check-In Fee per reservation (CASH ONLY). Check-in 12:00am (midnight) or later $20 (CASH ONLY)
Late Check-Ins after Midnight must be arranged by special arrangement and fee.
Where is the nearest bus stop?
The bus stops in both directions are directly outside of our hostel on the main highway, Kuhio Highway.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash (please have exact change), Visa and Mastercard credit cards.
Do you have a kitchen? open from 7am-9:30 strictly
Yes of course! It is stocked with all different kinds of things such as pots, pans, blenders, microwave, stove, crockpot, rice cooker, etc! We have refrigerators and a freezer for you to store your groceries in as well. The kitchen is also stocked with spices and other goodies for you to use for FREE! We also have a propane BBQ that you are free to use in our picnic area!
Are there laundry facilities?
There is a 24-hour laundromat located just down the block from us (6 Minute Walk / 2 Minute Drive / Two Traffic Lights Away, Behind Burger King & Shell Station) where you may do your laundry.
We do have a laundry drying area to hang up any wet clothing / towels / etc from the beach or elsewhere.
Is there free parking?
Yes! We have a parking lot located on the ocean side of our hostel!
Are there any age restrictions?
All guests must be 18 years of age or older or be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time.
What do I need to check-in?
You will need a photo ID such as a passport or another government issued ID. A credit card in your name, or if paying in cash, please have exact change.
How long can I stay at the hostel?
The maximum duration of a stay is 14 days.
What is your cancellation policy?
When placing a reservation you must be sure of your dates of stay. Once you have paid, there are no refunds.
If you make a reservation and do not show up by 9PM, without notifying us in advance of your expected arrival date, your entire reservation will be canceled. You must contact us as soon as possible at (808) 652-8162 or (808) 652-8164 to let us know of a late or delayed arrival, for example, the next day.
Is there a supermarket nearby?
Yes! Within a five minute walk from the hostel you have a convenience store, sit down restaurants, fast food restaurants, and 4 supermarkets in their shopping centers! Some stay open late (until approx. 11PM)! Safeway is a 24 Hours Supermarket located in town!
